Save Your SHSH Blobs for iOS 4.1 in Cydia

The title said it all. You can now save your SHSH Blobs in Cydia for iOS 4.1. The new iOS 4.2 release is inevitable and it's coming out this November. And once the new firmware is available for public download, Apple will stop signing the old firmware which will make it impossible for you to get your SHSH blobs save for iOS 4.1.

You can save your SHSH Blobs for the your iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G on iOS 4.1 and iPad on iOS 3.2.2.

Why should you save your SHSH Blobs for iOS 4.1:

1. If you accidentally upgrade to iOS 4.2 and you want to downgrade back to 4.1
2. The next update to Limera1n based iOS 4.2 jailbreak tool will require SHSH blobs for iOS 4.1 for an untethered jailbreak. If you don’t save your SHSH blobs now, you will get tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.2, NOT untethered.

You can use TinyUmbrella for Windows, MAC or Linux to save your SHSH and here are the steps:

1. Download TinyUmbrella
for Windows
for MAC
for Linux

2. Start TinyUmbrella and connect your iOS device with your PC or Mac via USB. Make sure iTunes is not running.

3. TinyUmbrella should detect your device.

4. Now click on “Save SHSH” and wait for TinyUmbrella to save your SHSH blobs on Cydia.
