How To Get Facebook Timeline

Well it seems to be that change is inevitable for Facebook users since timeline is on it's Beta phase now. If you want to learn more about the Facebook Timeline just click here. I am using it for a day now, and I can tell you that the new interface is really cool, pretty nice actually. If you want to get the new face of Facebook just follow the these simple steps. Just to inform you first, don't try to do this if you are TOO CONCERN about your privacy (I just don't really get it, some people are too concerned about their privacy but they keep posting their pictures in bikinis, oh well!)

STOP: Facebook Timeline is in beta phase so don't continue reading if you're not comfortable with it.

HOW TO GET FACEBOOK TIMELINE

1. In the search box of Facebook, type developer. Choose the first entry that shows up. You may want to allow the application to gather your data.
2. Go to the Apps section. Then click the Create New App.
3. Then a pop up with 2 text boxes should show up asking you to type your name and namespace. You can put anything here e.g. name: your name  namespace: yournameapp
4. Hit I agree with the Terms and Condition. Then a Captcha should show up, type the things you see.
In my case, after typing the Captcha thing, it asked me to verify it with mobile number or credit card number. So I used my mobile number then a I received a verification number that I need to type in the verification box. CAUTION: if you're in doubt stop immediately here.
5. After all those step, you should be on a page where on the left side you can see Open Graph, click it.
6. On box that says People can, I put read and a game. Then hit Get Started button.
7. Then wait for few minutes like 2-3 minutes, go to bathroom, drink water or do whatever you want but you have to wait for few minutes, then go back to your Home page in Facebook. Now you should see an invitation for Facebook Timeline, just agree to that and your done.

So whatever weird things you'll encounter along the way using your new Facebook Timeline, always remember that this is a BETA PHASE so things will change and will continue changing.

A lot of rumors suggests that the latest toy from the Cupertino lab - iPhone 5 is coming out this October.

Facebook Timeline: A New Look

It seems to be that everyday the Facebook interface keeps changing giving their users a new whole experience. The new look will showcase two new features, the Timeline and apps.
The big photo is the Cover which represents you and its the first the thing that people see when they visit your Timeline. The Stories is where you share what happened, happens and happening in your life.
For those people who are too concern about their privacy, well its really up too what you are going to share. Remember, this is the internet, nothing is private.
The Facebook Timeline is on it beta, if you want to learn more, just click here.

Vampires Attacking Facebook Users

Twilight fans, BEWARE! There are new breed of vampires whose targets are the Facebook users. These vampires are not going to suck your blood, instead, they will suck your personal info. According to TrendMicro's blog post, these people will get your personal information like phone numbers and email address.
The attack will start with Share a Link in Facebook that looks like this (image below) which will offer you a free ticket to see the new Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Once shared, it will posted automatically to your Facebook wall and whoever click the image of it on your wall will be directed to another page which will show you a survey and the poor victim will eventually receive different spams from the attackers.
Watch out boys and girls, THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK!

First Windows Phone Mango From Fujitsu-Toshiba

The first Windows Phone Mango was announced in Japan. The Fujitsu-Toshiba IS12T phone is really impressive, see it's underwater! It's a plus for countries with lots of rainfall all year long!
The camera is 13.2 megapixel, wow! I'm still looking for the full detailed specs so stick around.

I just hate the buttons, I like the capacitive buttons of HTC.

Windows Phone Mango: Is it worth waiting?

For Windows fans and Windows Phone lovers, we are all waiting for this update of Windows Phone 7, codename --  Mango. If you are following the news, they said that the update will be available this fall so thats around September or E3, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. One factor that will help me decide to get a Windows Phone 7 is if they will put a front facing camera. As we will know, most smart phones in the market has a front face camera. I hope Microsoft will not ignore this feature, most especially, LG and HTC has 3D smart phones...and that's the future of mobile phones.

Here are some cool Windows Phone Mango cool features which for me... is worth waiting for.

Wednesday, May 18, 2011 06:09 PM
A security vulnerability may allow unauthorized parties to snoop in the Google Calendar and Contacts information of up to 99 percent of Android smartphones, security firm Sophos said.

Sophos' Graham Cluley said that researchers at the University of Ulm found the Calendar and Contacts apps transmit information via HTTP and merely get an authentication token (AuthToken) from Google.
